Bought this instead of scheduling a Nuss. No regrets.
I'm 24 and my Haller index is 3.4. Surgeon said I was a candidate for Nuss but honestly the recovery time terrified me. 6 weeks off work minimum. Decided to give this 6 months first. I'm at month 4 now. My sternum visibly lifts during sessions and my girlfriend says she can see a difference even without the bell on. I do 2 hours a day split into two sessions. The seal is solid once you figure out the right spot. Build quality is way better than the cheap one I tried from Amazon that cracked after 2 weeks. Will I still need surgery? Maybe. But this bought me time and data, and that's worth it.

Bought for my 16-year-old son
My son has had pectus since he was around 12. He refused to take his shirt off at the pool for two years. Our doctor mentioned the Nuss procedure but said we could try conservative options first since he's still growing. He uses this every evening while doing homework. After 10 weeks he told me "mom it looks different." I cried. Whether it's the bell or his growth or both, he's more confident. He went to the pool last weekend. That alone is worth the price.

Good product, wish I'd sized up
The bell itself is great quality. My only issue is I should have gone one size larger. The seal works but I have to be very precise with placement. Already emailed support about exchanging and they were helpful. If you're between sizes, go bigger. The suction is strong and the materials feel medical grade, not like a toy. Using the hydrogel makes a noticeable difference with comfort. 4 stars only because of the sizing, product itself is solid.

Engineer here. The data convinced me.
I'm an engineer so I approached this analytically. Read the Haecker 2011 study and the Swiss vacuum bell study before buying. I take weekly photos from the same angle with the same lighting. At week 18 I can measure approximately 8mm of sustained lift vs my baseline photo. That's not dramatic but it's real, repeatable, and documented. The product is well-machined. The gasket holds. I'll run this trial for 12 months before making any surgical decisions. This is the rational first step.

Too early to judge but build quality is nice
Only been using it for 3 weeks so I can't speak to results yet. What I can say is it feels like a real medical device, not some dropshipped junk. The seal is strong, almost too strong at first. Had to learn to release pressure gradually. I'll update this review at the 3 month mark. For now 3 stars because I just don't have enough data yet. Not the product's fault, just being honest.

6 months in. Here's my honest update.
Posted a 4-star review at month 2. Updating to 5. The first two months I wasn't consistent enough. Maybe 3-4 times a week for 30 min. Once I committed to daily 1-hour sessions the results became obvious. My chest looks noticeably different in photos. My posture improved too which I didn't expect. The brace helped with that. This isn't a quick fix, it's a lifestyle change, but if you're disciplined it works. I went from dreading summer to not thinking about it.

Finalmente un prodotto serio
I tried a vacuum bell from another brand two years ago and it . Thin plastic, weak seal, gave up after a month. This is completely different. The build quality reminds me of actual medical equipment. I use it while watching TV in the evening. My doctor was skeptical at first but after seeing my progress photos at my last checkup he said to keep going. That was the validation I needed. Shipping to Italy was fast, about 8 days.

I'm 31 and wish I'd found this at 18
Spent my entire 20s avoiding beaches, pools, anything shirtless. Found out about vacuum bell therapy through a Reddit thread. Did two months of research before buying. The product is legit. I use it daily and combine it with the chest exercises from the free guide they sent me. My only regret is not starting sooner. If you're reading reviews trying to decide, just start. The worst case is you learn it's not enough and you explore surgery with real data. The best case is you avoid surgery entirely.

Female with pectus. This works for women too
There's barely any info online about pectus in women. My case is mild but it's always bothered me. I was worried the bell wouldn't work with my anatomy but customer support helped me pick the right size and placement. It's comfortable and I can use it under a loose top while working from home. After 5 months there's a real difference. I feel like this product is mostly marketed to men but it works for women too. Please add more female-specific content to your site!

Good device, managing my expectations
I'm 28 with a moderate case. The bell is well made and the suction works properly. I've been using it 3 weeks. Honestly the immediate lift during use looks incredible but it goes back within a few hours. I know that's normal and long-term consistency is supposed to make it hold longer. I'll keep at it for 6 months before deciding. 3 stars for now. Not because the product is bad, but because I want to see sustained results before rating higher.

Gym bro here. This + dumbbell pullovers = visible change.
I've been lifting for 5 years and could never fully fill out the center of my chest because of the dip. Started combining vacuum bell sessions with targeted exercises. Dumbbell pullovers, incline press, chest flies. The bell handles the structural side and the muscle development handles the visual side. My chest looks completely different now. People at the gym have noticed. No one knows about the bell lol. Highly recommend combining both approaches.

Solid. Hydrogel makes a big difference.
The bell alone was okay but the seal kept breaking during longer sessions. Started using the hydrogel they sell and it's night and day. Airtight seal, more comfortable, no red marks after. Wish I'd bought the bundle from the start instead of buying the gel separately later. The product itself is well built. 4 stars because the bell really should come bundled with the gel by default, it's practically essential.

My doctor told me about vacuum bells. This is the best one.
Went to a pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon for my 14 y/o and he actually recommended trying a vacuum bell before considering surgery. We looked at three different brands. This one had the best build quality and the most professional presentation. The size guide was accurate. My son is compliant with daily use because it doesn't hurt and he can do it while gaming. We have a 6-month checkup soon and I'm optimistic.

Went from hiding it to not caring. That's the real result.
I live in Miami. You can't avoid being shirtless here. I've had pectus my whole life and it was always the first thing I thought about at the beach. Six months with the vacuum bell and the physical improvement is real, but honestly the bigger change is mental. I have a routine, I'm doing something about it, and I feel in control. Even on days where my chest looks the same I feel different about it. That confidence shift is what I'd pay for again.

Wasn't sure about ordering from outside Romania but it arrived in less than two weeks, well packaged. Had a question about sizing and got a response within a day. The product is much better quality than what you find on Romanian sites. I use it in the evening for about 45 minutes. Too early to talk about long term results but the immediate effect during use is impressive. Happy with the purchase so far.

Mild case. This was enough
My pectus is mild. Haller index around 2.5. Not enough for insurance to cover surgery, not bad enough to justify paying out of pocket. This was the perfect solution. 5 months of consistent use and my chest is essentially flat now. You can still see a very slight asymmetry in certain lighting but I'm the only one who notices. For mild to moderate cases I think this should be the standard first step before even discussing surgery.

Physical therapist recommended this approach
I work with a PT who specializes in thoracic conditions. She actually suggested vacuum bell therapy combined with breathing exercises and postural work. Bought this based on her recommendation. The quality exceeded what she'd seen from other brands. I follow a protocol: 45 min bell, then 20 min of targeted stretching and strengthening. It's a system, not just a product. That's the mindset you need.

Asymmetric pectus. Works on one side better than the other
My pectus is asymmetric, deeper on the left side. The bell works great on the deeper side but less so on the shallower side. I've been placing it slightly off-center to target the deeper area. After 4 months the asymmetry is less noticeable. It's not perfect but it's a real improvement. If you have asymmetric pectus, know that you might need to experiment with placement. The size guide doesn't cover this. I figured it out through trial and error.

Honest: it's uncomfortable at first
I want to be honest because all the reviews seem very positive. The first week was uncomfortable. The suction felt weird, I got red marks, and I wasn't sure I was doing it right. Week 2 was better. By week 3 it was routine. Now at 3 months it's completely normal. I just want new buyers to know the first few days are an adjustment. Don't quit in the first week. It gets much easier. The product is good quality. I just wish someone had told me the learning curve is real.

7 months. Before/after photos speak for themselves.
I take a photo every Sunday morning, same bathroom, same lighting. The difference between month 1 and month 7 is undeniable. I'm not going to claim it's a miracle but when you put the photos side by side there is a clear, measurable improvement. I use the bell daily + brace at night + exercises from their guide. The combo matters. Bell alone probably isn't enough for most people. The whole system together is what works.

Great product, website could explain more
The vacuum bell is genuinely well made and the results so far are encouraging. My only gripe is I had to figure out a lot of the technique on my own. How long per session, how much pressure, when to stop if it hurts. There's a free guide which helped but I think the product page could do a better job explaining what the first week actually looks like. 4 stars. Product is great, onboarding could be better.

Had Nuss procedure at 16. Using this for residual dip at 27.
I had the Nuss bar put in at 16 and removed at 19. It corrected most of my pectus but there's a residual shallow dip that the surgery didn't fully fix. Surgeon said a revision wasn't worth the risk for what's left. Found the vacuum bell as an alternative. It's perfect for this use case. The remaining dip is mild enough that consistent vacuum therapy is making a visible difference. If you're post-Nuss with residual issues, this is worth trying.

I'm a med student. This is evidence-based.
As a 3rd year med student I was initially skeptical of non-surgical approaches. Then I read Haecker's published data. Vacuum bell therapy has peer-reviewed evidence behind it. Cosmetic improvement in 80%+ of patients. This device is essentially the same mechanism described in the literature. I bought it for myself (mild pectus, HI 2.8) and I'm documenting my own case. 4 months in and the data supports continued use. It's not quackery. It's documented, reproducible, and low-risk.

Decent but I have a deep case
My HI is 4.1 which is severe. The vacuum bell lifts my sternum during use and it's satisfying to see, but I'm realistic that this probably can't fully correct a case this deep. I'm using it as prep work before a potential Nuss procedure. My surgeon said it might make the bar placement easier. For severe cases, think of this as a supplement to surgical planning, not a replacement. The product quality is fine, my situation is just more extreme than most.

My wife noticed the difference before I did
I've been using this daily for 3 months. I didn't think much was changing because I look at my chest every day. Then my wife said "your chest looks different" without me mentioning anything about the bell. That's when I compared my week 1 photo to now. She was right. The change is gradual enough that you don't notice day-to-day but it accumulates. Take progress photos. Trust the process.

Working from home made this so easy. I use the bell during calls where I don't need video. By the time my morning meetings are done I've already hit 60-90 minutes of use without dedicating separate time. The convenience factor is huge for compliance. 40 years old. Didn't think it would work at my age.
Most studies focus on younger patients so I was skeptical it would do anything for a 40-year-old with a fully developed chest wall. I committed to 90 minutes daily for 4 months. The results are more modest than what younger users report but there IS improvement. The dip is shallower and my posture is significantly better from the brace + exercises combo. It's not dramatic but it's real. For older users: manage expectations but don't rule it out.

Product is solid, no complaints there. The box was fairly large and my roommate asked what it was. I know pectus isn't something to be ashamed of but I hadn't told anyone about it yet. Second vacuum bell I've owned. Best one on the market.
Had a no-name one from Amazon for a year. It "worked" in the sense that it created suction but the seal was inconsistent and I was never sure if sessions were effective. The brace + bell combo is underrated
I see most reviews focus on the vacuum bell alone. Adding the chest brace for nighttime use made a significant difference for me. The bell does the active correction, the brace maintains posture and gentle pressure while sleeping. Together they've done more in 3 months than the bell alone did in my first 2. If you're only buying the bell, consider the combo. The brace is surprisingly comfortable once you adjust the straps right.

Unexpected benefit: my breathing capacity improved. My pectus was compressing my chest enough to limit deep breaths during cardio. Being real: you need to do this daily for it to work. If you're someone who can't commit to 30-60 minutes every day, you'll probably be disappointed and blame the product. Tried everything. This is the only thing that actually works.
I've tried posture braces, chest exercises, even those weird posture shirts. None of them address the actual bone displacement. The vacuum bell is the only non-surgical device that physically lifts the sternum. That's just physics. After 5 months of daily use the improvement is visible and sustained for longer periods after each session. I should have started this years ago instead of wasting money on things that can only address muscle, not structure.

Honest 3-star: good product, my case might need surgery
I'll be real. My pectus is severe. HI over 4. The vacuum bell works mechanically, the suction is strong, the build is quality. Shipping to South America is slower but the product arrived in perfect condition. I've been using it 3 months and the quality is clearly better than anything available locally. Customs charged import tax which added to the cost, so budget for that if you're in Latin America. The bell itself is 4 stars because while it's great quality, the gasket gets sweaty in tropical climates. I keep a towel nearby. Minor issue but worth mentioning for warm climate users.

Marathon runner with pectus. Breathing transformation.
I've run marathons for years with pectus-limited breathing. Always blamed my cardio fitness. After 7 months of vacuum bell therapy my lung capacity has measurably improved. My PFT results are better and my mile pace dropped without changing my training. The structural correction freed up thoracic space I didn't know I was missing. This isn't just cosmetic for athletes. If your pectus affects your breathing, try this.

Buying a second one for travel
I use mine daily at home and recently traveled for 2 weeks without it. I could feel the difference. I'm buying a second one to keep in my travel bag. That should tell you how much I value this product. The consistency matters and I don't want to lose momentum when I'm on the road. Great product that becomes part of your life.

Marfan syndrome + pectus. This is helping.
I have Marfan syndrome which commonly comes with pectus excavatum. Surgery is riskier for Marfan patients due to connective tissue issues. My geneticist was supportive of trying vacuum bell therapy as a lower-risk approach. Three months in and the results are promising. For other Marfan patients: discuss this with your care team but know it's an option being used by people like us.

Best non-surgical investment I've made
I calculated the cost per session at this point and it's less than €0.50. Over 5 months of daily use, this is the cheapest meaningful medical intervention I've ever done. Compare that to surgical consultations, procedures, or even ongoing PT visits. The ROI is incredible if you actually use it. It sits on my desk as a daily reminder. No excuses.

Former swimmer. This fixed what years of training couldn't
Swam competitively for 10 years. Despite all the chest development, the dip was always there. My coach used to say it was "hydrodynamic" which was his nice way of saying he noticed. After 2 months with the vacuum bell, combined with the upper chest work I was already doing, the dip is noticeably shallower. Swimming built the muscle frame; this is fixing the actual structure underneath.

Anxiety about my chest is gone. That matters more than millimeters.
I used to check my chest in every mirror. Obsessively. It affected my mental health more than I admitted. Having a daily routine with the bell gave me something productive to do with that anxiety. I'm treating it. I'm taking action. The physical improvement is real but the mental shift from "helpless" to "actively correcting" is what changed my life. Four months and I barely think about it anymore.

Australia shipping was fine, product is quality
Shipped to Sydney in about 2 weeks. No issues with customs. The product is well built and works as described. My only feedback: the instructions could include more visual guides for different body types. I'm a bigger guy and had to figure out my own placement technique. Once I got it right though, the seal is excellent. 4 stars. Solid product, would appreciate more guidance for larger body types.

Best money I've spent on my health. Full stop.
Six months. Daily use. Undeniable results. I paid more for a gym membership this year and got less value. The vacuum bell actually changed the shape of my chest. My confidence is higher. My posture is better. I breathe easier. If you're hesitating on the price, think about what you'd pay for surgery. Think about the recovery time. Then look at this again. It's not even a question.

Medical student, pectus patient, now vacuum bell advocate
Third year medical student with pectus. I've read the literature extensively. Haecker, Schier, the Münster cohort data. The evidence for vacuum bell in mild-moderate cases is genuinely compelling. I'm using this on myself and tracking meticulously. Two months in and the improvement matches what the studies predict for my severity. It's frustrating that most doctors don't know about this option. Sharing my experience with classmates who will be future surgeons.

Military rejected me for pectus. Working on it now.
MEPS flagged my pectus and I was told to get it corrected before reapplying. Didn't want a long surgical recovery when I'm trying to ship out as soon as possible. Five months of daily vacuum bell use and my chest is significantly improved. Planning to go back to MEPS with a current assessment. The recruiter said a waiver might work now. This product might literally be my ticket to serving. Can't put a price on that.

Pectus carinatum on top, excavatum on bottom. Yes it helps both.
I have a mixed deformity. Carinatum above and excavatum below. Unusual but not super rare. The vacuum bell addresses the excavatum component. Combined with the brace for the carinatum section, both areas are improving simultaneously. Three months and my profile view looks genuinely different. If you have a mixed presentation, this combo approach is worth discussing with your doctor.

Dating confidence went through the roof
I'll be real. Pectus destroyed my dating confidence. I avoided intimacy because I dreaded the moment someone would see my chest. Four months with the bell and the improvement is enough that I don't think about it anymore. Went on a beach date last month without a second thought. Physical correction is part of it, but honestly just knowing I'm treating it changed how I carry myself. Worth every euro.

Showed my doctor the clinical studies. He approved.
My doctor had never heard of vacuum bell therapy. I printed out the Haecker study and the Swiss cohort data and brought them to my appointment. He read through them, examined the device, and said it was a reasonable approach with low risk. Now he's interested in recommending it to other patients. Sometimes you have to educate your own doctor. The data supports this product.

Recommended by my chiropractor. Works.
My chiropractor focuses on structural correction and recommended vacuum bell therapy alongside his adjustments. The combination of thoracic manipulation + vacuum bell + daily exercises has been incredibly effective over 6 months. My chest and posture have both improved significantly. If you're already seeing a chiro or PT, ask them about integrating this. The multi-modal approach is where the real magic is.

Physiothérapeute de formation. C'est un vrai dispositif médical
I'm a physiotherapist by training. This device uses sound biomechanical principles. The sustained negative pressure gradually remodels the chest wall over time. It's the same concept behind orthodontic braces. Slow, consistent force equals structural change. Five months of personal use confirms the theory works in practice. I've started recommending it to patients with mild to moderate pectus. Well made, clinically sound, reasonably priced.

3 stars because I'm honest, not because it's bad
The product is well made. Zero complaints about quality. I'm at 4 weeks and I see a temporary lift during use but nothing sustained yet. I know from research that it takes 3-6 months for persistent change. So I'm being honest. I can't verify long-term claims yet. I'll update this review. For now: good device, too early for results, 3 stars reflects my current experience accurately.

I had booked a consultation at a clinic in Seoul for the Nuss procedure. The flight, hotel, and surgery were going to cost me €15,000+. A friend suggested trying vacuum bell therapy first. Yoga + vacuum bell = unexpectedly great combination
I practice yoga daily and started integrating bell sessions afterwards when my chest is warm and flexible. The results have been faster than I expected. Software dev. Made a spreadsheet tracking my progress. It's working.
I'm tracking depth measurements, session duration, skin condition, and subjective comfort in a spreadsheet. The data is clear after 3 months: progressive improvement in all metrics. The depth measurement shows an approximate linear trend of ~1.5mm improvement per month. At this rate I'll be within normal range by month 8. Vegan, health-conscious, anti-surgery if possible. This fits my values.
I avoid invasive procedures whenever possible. The idea of a metal bar in my chest for 3 years didn't align with how I want to treat my body. 1 year total. 6 months with a bad bell, 6 months with this one
I used a no-name vacuum bell from eBay for 6 months first. Minimal results, constant seal breaks, frustrating. Switched to FormaChest and the difference was immediate. Better seal, stronger suction, more comfortable sessions. In 6 months with this I've achieved more than I did in a year with the cheap one. Total cost difference was maybe $80. Should have started here. Quality matters enormously with this type of device.

4 stars. Chest hair makes the seal harder.
Real talk nobody mentions: if you have chest hair, the seal is harder to maintain. I have to shave the area around where the bell sits for it to work properly. The hydrogel helps a lot too. Once I started doing both, sessions became much more effective. The product itself is great. 4 stars only because this should be mentioned somewhere in the instructions or FAQ. I'm a personal trainer. Recommending this to clients with pectus.
I've had three clients over the years with pectus who were frustrated that chest exercises weren't fixing the structural dip. Now I understand why. Muscle development can't correct bone displacement. The vacuum bell addresses the actual issue. I've been using it myself (mild pectus) for 5 months with excellent results. I'm now recommending it to clients as part of a comprehensive program: bell for structure, exercise for muscle, brace for posture.

Pectus + anxiety = a terrible combo. This broke the cycle.
The anxiety about my chest made me avoid situations, which made the anxiety worse, which made me avoid more situations. Classic spiral. Getting the bell and starting a routine broke that cycle. I evaluate medical devices for a living (sort of). This is well designed with appropriate safety margins. The suction is strong enough to be effective without being dangerous. Good but the hydrogel runs out fast
The vacuum bell is top quality. But if you use the hydrogel daily (which you should), one tube lasts about 3-4 weeks. That's an ongoing cost I wasn't expecting. Nurse here. This is safer than most OTC health products.
As a nurse I'm skeptical of most health products sold online. I looked at this from a safety perspective before buying: non-invasive, reversible, published clinical data, clear contraindications listed. It checks every box.
